HCMC – This summer, GHP Far East together with 47 other members of Ho Chi Minh Computer Association (HCA) participated in the Futsal Cup 2013. The footbal tournament attracted more than 670 players in 96 matches from 11May 2013 to 01Jun 2013. This is one of the biggest sport activitities in ICT industry inHo Chi Minh City in particular and the country in general.

2 teams of GHP FarEast joint the event, and both has reached the 1/16 round with position as below:

GHP FAR EAST IS RECOGNIZED FOR NEW OUTSTANDING SOFTWARE PRODUCT AND BPO SERVICE AT SAO KHUE AWARD 2013

HANOI, VIETNAM – On the 21th April, the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) organized traditional annual Sao Khue Award to honor the best information and technology (IT) products and services of Vietnam. This year, on the 10^thanniversary of the Sao Khue, 66 companies had an honor to receive this award.

In the event, Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Bac Son emphasized, that software and IT industry faced significant growth of turnover – from US $50 million in 2002 to more than US$2.3 billion in 2012. It was a great contribution to national process of industrialization and modernization of the country. The Minister expressed his hope that the programme will encourage organizations and individuals to further develop the national software and IT industry.

Ms. Hang Thuy Thi Bui, Head of Quality Management Department and Mr. Duy That Ton, Project Manager, participated in event on behalf of GHP Far East.

This year, besides BPO service, the company presented for jury of Sao Khue IDEAS, Data Entry Platform. IDEAS is a result of continuous performance improvement in Data Entry and implementing the concept of combination manual and machine document processing. Finally, GHP Far East received Sao Khue award in two categories: ‘Outstanding Software Product of Vietnam 2013’ and ‘Outstanding BPO Service of Vietnam 2013’. This’s the 8^th continuous year GHP Far East be recognized as Sao Khue winner.

We want to express our congratulations to all employees of GHP Far East and thank Software Development Team for keeping leadership position in outsourcing business of Vietnam.

GHP FAR EAST GAINS ‘INNOVATIVE THINKING’ AWARD FROM SPS GLOBAL ACADEMY

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – On the 11th April 2013 in the building of Langen Foundation was holding The SPS Global Academy Awards 2013 event, a part of the Swiss Post Solutions Senior Management Team meeting.

The Awards were presented in 3 traditional categories: ‘Innovative thinking’, ‘Clients First’ and ‘Delivering Excellence’. Additionally to them, SPS awarded employees for exceptional performance in ‘New Business’ and ‘Client Development’. The awards were created to encourage best practices in corporate social responsibility & people management, sales & customer service, industry growth, innovation, security and technology in a big Swiss Post Solutions family.

Mr. Frank Schellenberg, CEO, and Mr. Hieu Le, Project manager, participated in event on behalf of GHP Far East. This is the second time as representative of GHP Far East participate in event (See ‘GHP FAR EAST GAINS ‘DELIVERING EXCELLENCE’ AWARD FROM SWISS POST GROUP’). Mr. Hieu Le received ‘Innovative Thinking’ award from Susanne Ruoff, CEO of Swiss Post. It became possible due to initiation the task of researching different optical character recognition (OCR) technologies, for the purpose of integrating OCR into data entry points in Vietnam. Mr. Hieu had a short speech, saying: ‘It is the first time I have been able to attend a meeting like this in Germany. I was very happy and surprised to find out I was nominated. And I am now happy to be here representing Vietnam this year´.

We would like to greet Mr. Hieu Le for his achievement, bringing a glory to GHP Far East and inspiring all the colleagues. And this success is a sign that we are on the right path.

GHP FAR EAST’S EMPLOYEES CONVERGE AT THE MULTI SPORT TOURNAMENT

HCM, March 2013 – More than a thousand of GHP Far East staff are all excited about the biggest sports event of the year now. This activity is to celebrate the company’s 9^th year Anniversary (24/2/2004 – 24/2/2013) and Can Tho branch’s 2 years-old birthday (15/3/2011 – 15/3/2013).

The multisport Tournament catches the attention of staff from 2 offices of GHP Far East in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) and Can Tho City (CTC), taking part in 9 sports including Running, Female football, Ping pong, Tug of war, Chess, Darts, Ticktacktoe, Bag jumping and Billiard.

The popular event, which has been run for 04 recent years, involved sports being staged over three weeks, throughout the Quang Trung software city, HCMC and the multi-functional sport grounds, CTC. Top teams at each category would gather in HCMC for final matches.

“There is always a fantastic atmosphere. Taking part in the tournament allowed our employee to get in touch with other players they normally wouldn’t have a chance to meet. It’s also the motivation for us to organize the event yearly”. Ms.Diep Nguyen, Chief People Officer said..

The tournament expected around 950 people, including players and supporters, to join all sport activities. For those who can’t watch our final competitions, we have a photo library for you!

I-DAY JOB FAIR IN QTSC

HCM – 23rd March 2013, Being in the iDay jobfair 2013, organized by Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), GHP Far East booth has attracted great attention of the students and visitors.

Ms.Mai Nguyen, Recruitment officer said “BPO is a new industry hence it opens many opportunity for fresh graduate students. Especially, we provide specialized training course for new comers so there’s not much experience need, providing that you have good language and computer skills”.

This is the 3th year GHP Far East has participated in this event. The iDay job fair is organized by QTSC, belong to a series of events to celebrate QTSC 12 years’ annivesary. This activity expected the attendance of thoudsand students, coming from different universities in HCMC. Along with the jobfair, there’re also other interesting activities such as talkshow with CEO, Job orientation, QTSC tour…

GHP FAR EAST IS “TOP ENTERPRISE OF THE YEAR 2013″

HCMC, Vietnam – on the 15th of March, the Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) celebrated the 12th anniversary of its establishment. So far, QTSC attracted more than 100 domestic and foreign IT enterprises, including GHP Far East.

In the celebration, GHP Far East was awarded “Top Enterprise of the Year” among 9 other companies with good business achievements. On this occasion, GHP Far East would like to send its best wishes to QTSC and thank for continuous support and cooperation.

“Top Enterprise of the Year” is an annual award for companies which has business in 2013 achieving high efficiency, growth rate of at least 25%/year, quality certificates (CMM, ISO) or other specialized certificates such as security systems, storage systems, education and training… certified by international organization; or successful application of technology, manufacturing processes, new training.

FANSIPAN – BEST TEAM BUILDING TRIP EVER IN GHP FAR EAST

As a thank for IT and Admin team who have made great contribution to the Office moving and expansion, GHP Far East has rewarded the team with a trekking trip to Mt. Fansipan, from 9Jan to 14Jan, 2013.

Mt. Fansipan, locates at Lao Cai province, is the highest mountain of Indochina with a height of 3143 m. Although only 9 km from Sapa town, it takes normally three days to get to the peak and back; hence, this trip is a fascinating adventure for all of our participants who are up for a challenge!

Even the GHP team has been physically well prepared, the 3 days trekking tour is not less at ease. The conditions are muddy, trails are poorly marked and much time is wasted just avoiding having boots sink down into the earth. Rain and fog are omnipresent and loads are heavy because all water must be brought in. Even with guides and porters help, it took extra effort to get to the destination. And despite the severe weather condition with damaging cold, 100% of GHP team has reached the top of Fansipan. Congratulation to your great effort!

Toan Nguyen, Technology Dept., said after the trip “Sometimes I want to give up. But my team give me inspiration to go on. I forget my weakness, forgot my tiredness and still continue. When you go to the peak, everything is under your foot. It’s marvelous. Although that’s short time but it’s given me energy to face with other challenges in life.”

The trip has also strengthened the relationship as well as teamwork between participants, who has supported each other during arduous path of Fansipan and also up-coming path in their life!

GHP FAR EAST IS AWARDED WITH A TROPHY FROM THE HCM COMPUTER ASSOCIATION

On the 25 Jan 2013, the 6^th General meeting of HCM Computer Association (HCA) was carried out with the participation of over 200 delegates, including corporate and individual members , representatives of Government and Business associations.

Main activities of the conference included: summary of last year activities; financial statements; plan for next activities; election of new executive board; amendment of several charters and other content in accordance with the meeting’s schedule.

In this occasion, GHP Far East had an honor to be awarded with HCA trophy for its positive contribution to HCA’s in 2012.

THE MIC AWARDS CERTIFICATE OF MERIT TO GHP FAR EAST FOR CMMI APPRAISAL IN 2012

In the morning of 25 Jan 2013, GHP Far East had been invited to attend the “Conference on supporting businesses with implementation of CMMI and ISO 27001 in 2013″. The conference was organized by the Management Board of IT projects, under the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), with the purpose of evaluating the project in 2010-2012, experience exchange in implementation of CMMI and ISO 27001, and introduction of execution plan in 2013.

With the success in CMMi3 re-appraisal on 2 Mar 2012, GHP Far East became one of companies that fulfill the development and implementation of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), in the framework of project “Support businesses in development and implementation of processes in accordance with CMMI standards”. GHP Far East had been honored and received awards from the MIC in this occasion.
